Bereavement Receptions

This Ministry assists families that would like a reception following the funeral or memorial service of a parishioner. Its members prepare food and assist with set-up, serving, and clean-up of the reception area.

Grief Support Group

Grief Support is for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one and is grieving. Prayer, support and encouragement help facilitate the healing process. A bond of compassion and understanding is formed with others who are grieving.

Forever Young(55+)

This Ministry provides parishioners over the age of 55 with opportunities for social and communal activities, as well as friendship and fellowship on a monthly basis. Activities include meetings with relevant speakers, outings and trips. Meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month.

Living in Love

Living in Love is a weekend retreat and workshop for married couples designed to energize their romance and renew the excitement of being in love. Retreats are held once a year in the fall, with optional participation in group meetings available thereafter.

Marriage Encounter is a weekend experience that encourages spouses to focus on communication and spirituality within their marriage. Talks are given by trained facilitators, and spouses share one-on-one with each other.

Men’s Club

The Men’s Club sponsors social and service opportunities for all of the men of the parish. It takes the lead in parish activities such as Lenten fish fries, pancake breakfasts, parish picnics, golf outings, etc.

Parish Store

The Parish store makes available for purchase sacramental items, books; DVDs and CDs. Volunteers staff the store. The store is open on the 2nd and 4th weekends after all Masses except during the summer months.

Prayer Chain

Prayer Chain provides prayerful support to anyone in need of prayers. People call in with a specific need and their request for prayer is passed on. Over 50 people serve in this Ministry and make up 10 prayer chains.

Prayer Shawl

The Prayer Shawl Ministry brings people together to produce prayer shawls that are given away for various reasons, such as grief or illness, and comfort those who need the loving Hands of God surrounding them. A prayer shawl is created with its maker saying prayers for the recipient. At monthly meetings, the members pray together for the recipients and requesting parties. A final blessing is obtained from a priest or deacon. Ministry is open to anyone who likes to knit or crochet. New member are welcome.

Rosary Makers

True to its name, this Ministry makes rosaries. A morning group constructs “knotted” rosaries, which are ideal for the military.An evening group makes beaded rosaries. Please join us in honoring our Blessed Mother by participating in this Ministry.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one, caring ministry for those experiencing short term crisis or needing long term support. Stephen Ministers are trained lay congregational members equipped an empowered to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people as they struggle through a difficult time in life-experiencing grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness or some other life crisis. We provide members with a 50-hour training course as well as twice a month support meetings for continuing education and supervision.
